I'm always a sucker for a sci fi type of book/show (as I'm watching Lost for the first time) and this one was a great read! I enjoyed learning about each of the 7 people that the Volywr (alien) chose to help them. This bond drives the story for me and makes it more realistic. If you are looking for your next scifi read, I highly recommend this one!

science fiction fun
While this book is fun to read because of the references to other science fiction movies,TV and pop culture, it also brings a fresh take on what would happen if alien beings invaded earth. Cooperation with the nice aliens pays off. I like that it takes years to figure out these beings while they, of course have their own agenda . I also like the unique space ships that are tailored to each human warrior.

Great Sci-fi
A unique take on the classic alien trope. The Volywrs are a race of beings from another world who land their ship in the ocean and bond with humans. Their motivations are a mystery that persists throughout the whole story. The seven diverse humans the Volywrs choose to help them combat an otherworldly race make up an interesting cast, and the relationships they form amongst themselves and with the Volywr are integral to the story. Fans of sci-fi will enjoy this one.
